Conference 2001 - 2nd - 4th November 2001, Shropshire

Conference 2001 was held at Cloverley Hall Conference Centre, near Whitchurch, Shropshire. The hall was a rambling ex-Victorian school complete with tower and spiral staircase leading to some of the bedrooms. Harry Potter would have felt at home amongst its oak panelled rooms altough in our case the magic (if that's the right word) was to be found in the company, the memories, the learning and the worship, the latter being confined not only to our Sunday morning service.

The theme for the conference was Remember, Remember and our activities covered topics such as Hallowe'en, All Souls Day, Bonfire Night, Remembrance Day and other opportunities to reflect on the past.

Despite all this looking back at the past, there seemed to be a definite feeling that AMSAG is moving to a more dynamic and exciting future.
